After a staff member tragically lost her life at the hands of her partner several years ago, Cathie and Stuart were passionate about supporting this cause. WLSQ provide free legal and welfare advice to Queensland women and their children at risk of domestic and family violence.
Despite providing over 38,000 services to Queensland women, currently 30% of calls cannot be answered due to resource limitations. There is no way to know when these women will have the courage or the opportunity to call again.
Marked as Brisbane’s most entertaining gala event for a cause, leaders swap the boardroom for the dancefloor in front of other corporates, family and friends.
Cathie was asked to participate in the inaugural Dancing CEOs event in 2014 and was subsequently inducted into the Dancing CEOs Hall of Fame in 2016.
Andrew Reid participated in 2021 raising an incredible $62,340 and rumor has it, could be making a return in 2024…watch this space!
Supported by and held at Hanworth House, Labels on the Lawn is an opportunity to raid the wardrobes of Brisbane’s ‘best dressed’ where thousands of designer items are donated each year. With all profits being donated to WLSQ, a total of $291,722 has been raised since its conception in 2020.
Cathie generously donates many items of clothing and handbags each year and her items are highly anticipated and sought after!
